Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including nursing homes and occupational health, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding. This role requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform medical procedures such as catheterization and telehealth consultations.
  • Document patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions, including addiction counseling when necessary.
  • Participate in hospice palliative medicine initiatives to enhance patient quality of life.
  • Ensure compliance with MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements in nursing home settings.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical practices and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Experience in nursing home environments or occupational health is preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical coding and familiarity with telehealth systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $116,678.00 – $124,652.00 per year
