Full Job Description
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician- Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as medical imaging- Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans- Provide counseling and education to patients on various health topics, including addiction counseling and health coaching- Manage acute and chronic conditions, including pain management- Coordinate and participate in discharge planning for hospitalized patients
Requirements:- Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program- Experience in a hospital or primary care setting preferred- Strong knowledge of acute care medicine and patient care principles- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
