We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our busy, growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly motivated and interested in taking on challenges in a fast-paced environment.
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing patient care based upon the nursing process; being effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients throughout the perioperative process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse shall oversee and guide employees that are under his/her supervision and collaborate with surgical team to strategize, implement and evaluate care plans for each patient.
JOB SUMMARYResponsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the perioperative patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status). Perioperative preparation and postoperative clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members. This position reports to the Practice Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, the Nurse Practitioner will:
- Assist physician in providing exceptional patient care and service
- Perform patient exams, history & physicals
- Maintain updated patient records
- Order and analyze test results, consult with provider to create treatment plans
- Administer treatments as directed by physician
- Complete orders and charges efficiently
- Serve as a trusted resource for patients, offering guidance on their ongoing care, counseling, and critical conditions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Practice Professional Degree in Medicine/Osteopathy/Nursing or Physician Assistant Professional Degree
- Florida medical license, DEA license
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to complete required office tasks (order, notes, EMR records, charges etc.) in a timely manner
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate and operate EMR system
- Ability to effectively manage time—expectation is for provider to begin office hours on time and to stick to the schedule throughout the day
- Employer strongly discourages the rescheduling of patient appointments with minimal prior notification to the office staff (i.e., less than 1 week notice) except for emergency situations.

HOURS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Our Florida Clinics are typically open Monday through Friday. Work hours are subject to change.
Hazards: Occasional contact with communicable diseases, electrical equipment, blood borne pathogens, etc.
Personal protective equipment: Provided if necessary (gowns, gloves, masks, head cover)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
