Currently seeking full-time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our busy multi-practitioner Internal Medicine Practice, located in Merritt Island Florida. This position is Monday – Friday, NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS, NO CALL, NO HOLIDAYS, providing an amazing work-life balance. As a provider-centered facility, you are able to practice medicine in an environment where patient care is your only focus.
What You’ll Do:
As a Physicians Assistant / Nurse Practitioner, you will be a key clinical provider in diagnosing, treating, and guiding our patients to better health. No two patients are the same.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
- Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
- Collaborating with physicians, other medical personnel, and office staff.
- Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
- Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.

Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant shall render necessary and appropriate primary and urgent care services within the scope of the applicant’s training and experience, under the supervision of the Physician. Such care/services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: obtaining accurate medical histories and performing hands on physical examinations, performing various small procedures, (i.e., hormone pellet therapy, joint injections, cryotherapy, etc), development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with various acuity medical problems communicate with supervising physician on a regular basis to provide continuity of patient care, communicate with patient and patient’s family (when appropriate) regarding health and patient management issues, make referrals for consultative services after review and coordination of such services with a supervising physician. Arrange for acute care when conditions for same are indicated.
Qualifications and Skills
Education, skills and experience:
- Registered nurse with advanced training as Adult Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner FNP / State Certified Physician’s Assistant (PA)
- One year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record preferred.
- Ability to work with ancillary and support staff creating a collaborative atmosphere of teamwork.
- Ability to develop knowledge of and utilize organizational resources.
- Very good computer skills PC software i.e. Microsoft office applications.
- Strong English, oral and written communication skills.
