Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an independent family medicine clinic . This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, and urgent care environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, experience with EMR systems (eClinical works) and a strong background in acute and chronic care management. This position involves performing physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, medication administration, and patient assessments while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality. There will be a bonus incentive for production.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and intake procedures. Preventative and problem based medicine ages 4y/o and up.
  • Manage acute pain, perform triage, and coordinate urgent care services for diverse patient populations
  • Administer injections, medications, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing, skin excisions/biopsy
  • Utilize EMR system: eClinical
  • Assist with diagnostic evaluations including radiology interpretation, laboratory testing, and medical imaging
  • Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Support discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, hospice & palliative medicine services, and home care management
  • Engage in health coaching, patient education on nutrition, family planning, addiction counseling, and Geriatrics care

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure
  • Experience with outpatient primary care or urgent care/ER willing to take on more of a long term relationship with patients
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes
  • Skills in physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation techniques including medical imaging and lab tests, creating differential diagnosis
  • Ability to perform procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, dermal fillers; experience administering injections required
  • Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and treatment planning
  • Ability to work independently within an outpatient primary care setting but will have plenty of support and oversight by attending physician

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $92,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
