Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Rheumatology practice. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with physician and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting physical examinations, and minor procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic rheumatic diseases- Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary- Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients- Adhere to medical standards, protocols, and guidelines in all aspects of patient care
Skills:- Proficient in medication administration and management- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding (ICD-10), and documentation standards- Excellent health coaching skills to promote patient wellness
