Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Internal Medicine team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment providing high-quality care to adult patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and a passion for promoting patient health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and screenings.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions commonly seen in internal medicine.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, including prescribing medications, performing diagnostic tests, and ordering necessary treatments.
- Interpret diagnostic data, including lab results and imaging, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and ongoing health management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient follow-up care and monitor progress on treatment plans.
- Stay current on medical trends, best practices, and advancements in internal medicine through continuous education and training.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board certification or eligibility to become certified in Internal Medicine or a related field.
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Previous experience in internal medicine or primary care is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems.
