Orthopaedic Practice: seeking Physician Assistant, for a position in a fast-paced, well-established orthopaedic practice, in the Lakeland.
The Practitioner will be involved with the care of the patient in any role which the supervising physician deems proper and consistent with applicable law, medical regulations, delineation of privileges, in combination with training, knowledge, skills and experience. Prior private practice experience preferred.
Core Job Functions: Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Prescribe and monitor appropriate medications. Educate patients regarding the diagnosis and treatment plans. Perform in office procedures. Assist with surgical procedures. Participate in hospital call / rounding. Medical coding: including CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10.
Requirements: Ability to practice autonomously within the scope of practice. Bachelors degree / Graduate of an accredited program. Current Florida license from the Florida Medical Board. Current certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician assistants.
