Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and assisting in various medical procedures. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes through effective communication and comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions, including pain management.
  • Assist in procedures such as cardiac catheterization, IV infusion, and tube feeding.
  • Manage patient records using eClinicalWorks and ensure accurate medical coding for billing purposes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options, including hospice palliative medicine when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to the role.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure to practice as a PA.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks is preferred.
  • Experience or training in pain management, cardiac catheterization, hospice palliative medicine, IV infusion, tube feeding, or dialysis is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of medical coding practices and ability to manage medical records effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for this position.

Pay: $110,168.00 – $150,000.00 per year
