Full Job Description
Duties:
– Provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care services to patients.
– Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat specialized illnesses and injuries.
– Develop and implement patient care plans, including discharge planning and coordination of care with other healthcare providers.
– Prescribe medications as needed.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and integrated care.
– Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
– Stay up-to-date with current medical knowledge and best practices through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements:- Valid Nurse Practitioner license or Physician Assistant Certification/ License in the state of Florida.
– Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program (if applicable).
– Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Nephrology, Neurology, Wound Care, etc.- whatever is applicable) is recommended.
– Preferred clinical working experience as an PA/APRN, within the given specialty/service line recommended.
– Experience in providing specialized care services across the lifespan, including family planning in an inpatient acute rehab setting / skilled nursing.
– Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
