Full Job Description

Petit Psychiatry is a looking for Psychiatric Physician Assistant who will assist, monitor, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards. To be a successful physician assistant, you should be formally educated to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires working independently under the supervision of our psychiatrists. Previous experience in Psychiatry is a plus. Qualifications:
  • Nurse practitioners are welcome to apply
  • Licensed in FL to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.
  • Must be adaptive and flexible. Experience in Psych field is a plus.
  • DEA (preferred).
  • NPI (preferred).
Responsibilities:
  • Available for 20-30/hr per week (1099)
  • Psychiatric evaluations.
  • Reviewing and maintaining patients’ medical histories and records and recording patients’ progress in EMR systems.
  • Medication management and ordering appropriate lab tests.
  • Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of the assigned medical director.
  • Referral & follow-up of patients.
  • Researching the latest treatments, innovations, advances, and trends in the medical industry.
  • **Hybrid position (onsite and remote)
