Full Job Description

The College of Medicine’s School of Physician Assistant Studies is seeking a Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement Specialist to be at the forefront of evaluating program effectiveness, faculty performance, and student progress through data analysis and visualization. Responsibilities to include data collection and management, effort tracking and reporting, and course evaluations.

Database Development, Reporting, and Visualization
  • Design and develop databases for data collection, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain and ensure quality control of databases, implementing measurement systems as needed.
  • Conduct routine statistical analysis of educational research data.
  • Generate data visualization reports for monitoring student progress.
  • Prepare standard evaluation reports for accreditation, faculty reviews, and curriculum development.
  • Draft descriptive statistics tables and graphs for various reports.
  • Summarize data for deans, department chairs, and course/clerkship directors.
  • Design and construct tables and graphs to display research and evaluation data.

Data Collection

  • Collaborate with faculty and administrators to develop and administer assessment tools.
  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of data related to student performance and faculty effectiveness.
  • Manage data sets, ensuring integrity through cleaning and checking.
  • Develop, document, update, and maintain analytical data files and databases.
  • Generate surveys, collect and analyze responses for clinical preceptors, faculty, staff, and School graduates.
  • Provide training on data collection tools and processes.
Academic Course and Faculty Evaluation
  • Develop standardized processes for collecting evaluation data for courses and faculty.
  • Set up evaluations for each section of each course and facilitate communication with students and faculty.
  • Distribute evaluation data to relevant stakeholders for curriculum review and learning objectives.
  • Prepare evaluations for College of Medicine faculty and guest lecturers.
  • Download and save evaluation data securely on Restricted drive.
Effort Tracking
  • Develop standard processes for coordinating effort tracking and reporting.
  • Create Faculty Assignment Reports (FAR) and Academic Activity Reports (AAR) for each faculty member and course.
  • Complete Effort Certification each semester.
  • Coordinate corrections and AAR changes, ensuring accuracy.
  • Liaise with faculty and staff for coordination using School resources and data.

Expected Salary:

$54,000 – $60,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Master’s in Education, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Specialization or coursework in educational evaluation, assessment, or research methodologies preferred.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and data visualization tools such as SPSS, R, Python, or Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings through clear and compelling visualizations.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and processes, particularly in healthcare or medical education.
  • Understanding of the role of program evaluation in maintaining accreditation compliance.
  • Proficient in database development and management.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar online survey software.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and accountability in executing responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with UF GatorEval and/or Effort Reporting systems.
