Description:

The physician extender will provide comprehensive health assessments, evaluation, planning and administration of quality patient care. The physician extender works under the general supervision of a designated physician within Axel Health providing a mechanism for consultation and collaboration. Care is provided based on assessment and management in accordance with regulatory standards, policy and procedure, protocols and practice guidelines. The physician extender provides patient care and education based on individual patient health and cultural status. This position serves as a patient advocate for Axel Health, Axel Primary Care, Lee Health Systems and the community.
Looking for dayshift coverage for Lee Health Acute Care Hospitals and an outpatient office. Physician extender will provide care for ICU patients and med surg patients. Expected to be at location while on shift, generous compensation, accommodations provided. Critical care and Internal Medicine physician backup available.
Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree required. Experience: ICU or Cardiac experience preferred. Licensure: ARNP or PA license in the State of Florida.
