In collaboration with the physicians, the APRN assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within their scope of practice. This includes: taking patient’s history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and providing care and management for Vascular surgery patients.
Expected to take part in office-based patient evaluations, follow-ups and coordinate care with various other entities (i.e. home health, wound care centers, imaging centers, medical equipment suppliers, etc.). Expected to perform in-hospital evaluations to include initial consultations, follow-ups, rounding, and discharging. May also be involved with office-based procedures, such as venous cases and sclerotherapy. May be involved with direct patient monitoring during and post-op from office-based procedures requiring conscious sedation.
Qualifications:
- The perfect candidate will have 1-5 years’ experience in clinical care of Vascular surgery patients.
- ARNP degree from an accredited program.
- Current Florida ARNP certification, DEA, and credentials.
- Current ACLS and BLS
