OrthoNOW currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, orthopedic-trained, energetic and experienced PA or NP to oversee and grow one of our unique orthopedic care centers in Miami. You will be the face of the center, supported by a team of leading orthopedists.
JOB SUMMARY: The Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is responsible to the Medical Director for clinical issues. He/She works as a member of a team committed to providing the best patient experience and exceptional patient care.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
REQUIRED: Excellent clinical and evaluation skills, ability to concentrate and be attentive to details. Excellent skills in communication and resolution of conflict. Demonstrates tact, timeliness, accountability, commitment, leadership to achieve goals, ability to influence others and manage resources. English & Spanish speaking required. MUST HAVE ACTIVE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR ARNP FLORIDA STATE LICENSE.
EXPERIENCE: 3+ years’ experience in orthopedics preferred. Candidate must have orthopedic clinical setting experience.
JOB DETAILS:
- Work independently within established protocols and guidelines, exercising initiative and sound judgment in direct patient care.
- Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors and coworkers.
- Provide leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies while maintaining a comforting and reassuring presence for patients.
- Oversees, directs and supports casting, injections, x-rays and other digital imaging.
- Seek consultation and initiate referrals as necessary
- Communicates frequently with medical director and subspecialists via telemedicine and other technology tools.
- Conduct telehealth virtual visits with new and existing patients.
- Participate in community events, representing OrthoNOW at Miami-Dade health fairs and wellness events.
- Motivate staff to excel and seeks opportunities for sharing our services among the local community.
*Job Qualifications:*• Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.• Ability to work weekend hours if needed.• Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records.• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
