Job SummaryOur boutique facial plastic surgery office is seeking a customer service-oriented clinical employee to join our team. The main function of this position is to support our plastic surgeon with post-op care and also assist in surgery (scrubbing in).
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, managing surgical tools, and maintaining sterile technique throughout the operation.
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, functional, and ready for use.
- Work with existing senior surgical technician in the OR.
- Support preoperative assessments by reviewing patient histories, conducting physical examinations and preop appointments, and verifying consent forms.
- Manage postoperative care including wound care instructions, pain management protocols, and discharge instructions.
- Remove sutures and drains during post-op appointments.
- First point person for surgical patient pre and post op questions as well as patient liaison when surgeon is out of town.
Requirements
- Mastery of sterile technique is required.
- Florida RN or PA license
- Active BLS and ACLS or willingness to obtain prior to first shift
- Live within 20 miles of Delray Beach
- CNOR or RNFA not required but a plus
