We are seeking a Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team!
Full Time Monday – Thursday 4 Day Schedule – 3 Day Weekends!! You will focus on providing high quality patient care, partnering with & guided by Tom M Porter MD. DR Porter is double board certified in both Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine and is well regarded in the field of for his treatment of chronic pain. You will also work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients while adhering to established standards and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform procedures such as administering as needed.
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level I Trauma Center setting to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Stay current with ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree & previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification with a valid state license to practice.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $127,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
