Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. This role involves conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and assisting in various medical procedures while adhering to established protocols and regulations.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions under the supervision of a physician.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Ensure proper coding of diagnoses using ICD-10 standards for accurate record-keeping.
  • Participate in occupational health assessments as required by the facility.

Skills

  • Proficiency in managing medical records systems and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols and procedures related to patient care.
  • Familiarity with occupational health principles and practices.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Competence in coding practices, particularly ICD-10, for accurate billing and record management.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
