Provide advanced care to patients under the direction of a physician with a collaborative agreement if indicated.

Promote wellness and effectively counsel patients on preventative care.

Travel to partner campus, Jupiter/Davie clinic at least once a week, as needed.

Work independently in a partner clinic, which includes phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and vaccinations.

Assess and treat patients for urgent care visits, general primary care, and routine physical exams.

Provide both acute and chronic medical care to patients. Order and correctly interpret appropriate diagnostic studies to assist with management.

Develop an appropriate assessment and treatment plan consistent with findings and utilize medication and other treatment modalities appropriately.

Problem-solve and make clinical decisions by using evidence-based strategies to guide diagnosis and treatment.

Practice within the scope of privileges and licensure.

Refer for additional consultation, evaluation, and treatment when clinically indicated.

Comply with federal, state, and university regulations and statutes, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Work to foster and maintain a collaborative, engaging, and positive work environment for all students and staff.

Participate in assessment, accreditation, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Participate in activities, both internal and external to SHS, in order to champion the health of the college student population, advance the mission of SHS, and support the missions of the Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management and Florida Atlantic University.

A master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required. Good organizational and time management skills and ability to set priorities. Ability to communicate both professionally and efficiently in verbal and written communication Ability to elicit, interpret and perform complete histories and physicals Knowledge of QA/TQI processes. Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and microbiology. Knowledge of accreditation processes. Ability to diagnose and treat health problems. Ability to perform and experienced in well women exams, Paps, vaginitis, birth control management, STI’s, and breast complaints.
$95,000 – $105,000 per year.

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Some nights and weekends as needed.
