Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our outpatient psychiatry team. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, clinically strong, and comfortable managing complex psychiatric conditions in a collaborative, high-quality care environment.
This role focuses on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy, with the opportunity to participate in innovative treatment modalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new and established patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions including:
- Depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and related conditions
- Provide medication management and ongoing treatment planning
- Deliver supportive psychotherapy and patient education
- Monitor treatment effectiveness, side effects, and medication adherence
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and administrative teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, state, and federal guidelines)
- Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and case discussions
Optional / Preferred Experience
- Experience with interventional or advanced psychiatric treatments (e.g., IV ketamine, Spravato®, TMS)
- Comfort treating patients with treatment-resistant depression
- Interest in innovative or emerging psychiatric therapies
- Prior outpatient psychiatry experience
Qualifications
For Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP):
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
- Current PMHNP licensure and national certification
- Active state license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
For Psychiatric Physician Assistants (PA-C):
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current PA-C certification
- Active state license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
