Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to gather vital signs, medical histories, and current health status.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluation by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Administer injections, treatments and other medications, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage acute pain and provide minor emergency care in primary, urgent care, as outpatient clinic.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical decision making & advanced patient care plans.
- Support discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine initiatives, and post-acute care coordination for diverse patient populations including geriatrics patients.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems for efficient data management and medical records documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD 10 coding, CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience with outpatient medicine environments including acute & chronic medical conditions & other medical procedures.
- Skilled in performing suturing, phlebotomy, IV management, and infection control practices.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or inpatient units while adhering to NCQA standards for quality care delivery.
- Excellent patient care skills encompassing physical examinations, vital sign monitoring, intake assessments, health coaching, medication administration—including injections—and physical assessments. Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
