Full Job Description

Our Electrophysiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is a state licensed, board-certified individual who works under the direction of or in consultation with an attending physician to provide a broad spectrum of patient care in the outpatient and inpatient Electrophysiology service. In this role, our APRN or PA work both in the out-patient clinic and inpatient setting. In the outpatient setting, our APRN or PA will assist with new patient consults and follow-up visits on established EP patients, work triaging patient phone calls, refilling medications. In the inpatient setting, our APRN or PA will provide consultation, perform device evaluation and programming, and may assist with EP procedures such as cardioversions, implantable loop recorder insertion, and venous access. Full time: 40 hours per week; Monday though Friday; 8a-5p – no weekends/holidays/on call

For APRN candidates:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of CT

A Master’s degree is required for entry level practice.

An APRN license in the state of CT prior to start date is required.

Previous experience with electrophysiology, cardiovascular, and/or ICU patient population required

For PA candidates:

B.A./B.S. and completion of 2 years accredited P.A. training program.

Current NCCPA certification required.

A PA license in the state of CT prior to start date is required.
