First Choice Health Centers is looking for a Family Practice Physician Assistant with experience in outpatient healthcare. This full time position is accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks in delivery of direct patient care. This position is located in Manchester, CT.

- The budgeted salary range for this position is $115,000 – $140,000k. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, license, certifications, etc.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Considerable knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of different disciplines and disease states; knowledge of medication and their interactions and reactions.
- Physical assessment skills; counseling skills; considerable interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to formulate plans of care.
- Decision making ability.
Experience and Training:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum 2 years current outpatient experience required
- Connecticut Controlled Substance license and DEA license
- BLS Certification
Standard Job Duties:
- Evaluates, assesses patient illness/injuries.
- Performs physical examinations, and special examinations.
- Takes medical histories.
- Develops plans of care.
- Provides routine and illness care.
- Orders medications; orders diagnostic tests; and evaluates results.
- Assumes responsibility for patient follow-up, coordination, and referrals to other health care providers as necessary.
- Maintains patient medical records.
- Provides patient counseling/education.
- Participates in medical student and health professional teaching.
- Performs related duties as required.
