Full Job Description

Our client with locations in the Hartford, CT area is looking to add a Physician Assistant to their growing Orthopedic team. The candidate would be working with a team of physicians and PA’s Monday through Friday in an outpatient setting. Ideal candidates will have Orthopedic experience, but the group is open to recent graduates with applicable clinical rotations. Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments, review diagnostics, prescribe treatment for outpatient orthopedic patients in our office setting
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (MRI, CT scans, X-rays, blood tests, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Promote good health practices
  • Utilize and become proficient in EMR (Electronic Medical Records); EPIC experience preferred, not required

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn, have strong organizational skills, compassion, and an ability to work as part of a team. Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with licensure to include:
  • Active Connecticut state license or ability to obtain one.
  • CT Controlled Substance License
  • Federal DEA
  • New graduates or those with experience in orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
  • Required travel between office locations
