Our client with locations in the Hartford, CT area is looking to add a Physician Assistant to their growing Orthopedic team. The candidate would be working 1:1 with an Orthopedic surgeon focusing in trauma, sports medicine and joint cases. Monday through Friday, no weekends and no call. Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, review diagnostics, prescribe treatment for outpatient orthopedic patients in our office setting
- Provide pre and post-operative patient evaluations and education.
- OR first assist (trauma, sports medicine and joints)
- Treat new, established and post-operative patients
- Order and study diagnostic tests (MRI, CT scans, X-rays, blood tests, etc.)
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut state license or ability to obtain one.
- CT Controlled Substance License
- Federal DEA
- Orthopedic or other related surgical experience required
- Required travel between office locations
