Established in 1970, Orthopedic Associates of Hartford is one of the area’s largest and most respected orthopedic specialty groups. We have a team of over 250 employees working together to provide the best care for our patients. In support of high-quality patient care, we are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support our physician practices. Fast paced and challenging, you will interact with our physicians, patients, and other departments to provide the highest level of care for our patients.

This position will work with an Orthopedic Surgeon providing a broad spectrum of general patient care. These duties include, but are not limited to, medical evaluation and treatment, removal of stitches, application of casts, ordering and analyzing tests, writing orders, patient rounds, and patient education, as well as assisting in the operating room for inpatient and outpatient surgeries.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized program
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant or APRN
  • Certified as a Physician Assistant or APRN
  • Two or more years of relevant and related experience
  • Knowledge of interpretation of x-ray views
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
