Our Award Winning Client, a national leader in providing comprehensive healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Adult Medicine clinic in Hartford, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive primary healthcare evaluations, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide care in partnership with physicians and assist in diagnosing and treatment planning.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and follow department protocols.
  • Assess patients’ conditions through detailed medical histories and comprehensive clinical examinations.
  • Ensure the delivery of culturally competent care to a wide range of patients.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and associated tools to document and manage patient care.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure that clinical practices adhere to organizational standards.
  • Provide additional duties as required by the department.

Technical and Job-Specific Skills

  • Advanced clinical skills in patient care and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Expert knowledge of nursing theory or physician assistant practice to provide comprehensive clinical care.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate interactions with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Cultural competency to effectively serve diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to interpret medical data and medical conditions accurately to guide patient care.
  • Proficient in the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other healthcare systems.
  • Experience in evidence-based clinical decision-making to meet quality measures.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program or equivalent physician assistant program.
  • Current, valid APRN or PA license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Ability to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration (if not already certified).
  • A proven track record in delivering high-quality healthcare, particularly in a collaborative setting.
  • Strong understanding of clinical practices and ability to manage complex patient cases.
  • Preference for candidates who have 1-2 years’ experience in ambulatory care or urgent care settings.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Spanish language proficiency (preferred).
  • APRN or PA license in Connecticut (preferred).
