Job Description:Our award-winning client, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Adult Medicine department. This full-time position involves delivering comprehensive primary care focused on health promotion and disease prevention. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with department physicians to provide specialized care and refer patients to consultants when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with evidence-based practices
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history assessments and physical examinations
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to provide culturally sensitive care in a dynamic environment
  • Utilize electronic health records and other systems efficiently
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Valid State of Connecticut licensure
  • Eligibility for DEA and state narcotic registration
  • Proven ability to deliver comprehensive care within established clinical guidelines
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams
  • Technical proficiency with electronic health record systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in ambulatory or urgent care settings

Candidate Profile:Candidates should hold a Master’s degree and possess valid licensure. Experience in a collaborative care environment is ideal, and bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred) are an advantage.
