Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical specialties, including Ophthalmology and Hospice Palliative Medicine, and possess the ability to provide high-quality patient care. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services, ensuring adherence to established systems and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and management of patients across various specialties, including performing esthetic laser treatments and cardiac catheterization.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and best practices.
  • Administer medications, including tube feeding when necessary, and monitor patient responses.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner for accurate documentation and patient management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in hospice palliative medicine initiatives to enhance the quality of life for terminally ill patients.
  • Stay updated on clinical guidelines, ICD-9 coding practices, and relevant medical advancements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a valid state license to practice.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology or related fields is preferred; familiarity with esthetic laser treatment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures is desirable.
  • Proficient in electronic health record systems; experience with Cerner is advantageous.
  • Understanding of MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
