Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics and teaching hospitals. This role requires a strong background in emergency medicine, medical-surgical practices, and specialized areas such as ophthalmology. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation.
  • Manage acute and chronic health conditions through evidence-based practices.
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including catheter care when necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve service delivery.
  • Engage in utilization management to optimize resource use and enhance patient care quality.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with medical advancements.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine and medical-surgical nursing.
  • Proficiency in outpatient care settings with a focus on patient-centered approaches.
  • Knowledge of utilization management principles to enhance healthcare delivery.
  • Experience in teaching hospitals is preferred for mentoring new staff or students.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to perform catheter care with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Competence in using electronic health records (EHR) for documentation and patient management.

Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
