Job Purpose:
Orthopaedic Specialty Group, Pain Management PAs play a vital role in improving patient care and outcomes by assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions. They collaborate closely with our interventional pain physicians to ensure patients achieve the best possible quality of life.
Job Duties:
- Carries an independent office schedule with MD on premises for support as needed. Includes new patients, new problems, pre- and post-operative care.
- Effectively assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
- Responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests including x-rays, MRIs, etc.
- Develops and implement individualized pain management treatment plans
- Contributes to team healthcare approach through quality, detailed work, effective documentation and oral communication.
- Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans, as necessary
- Educates patients and their families on pain management strategies and self-care techniques.
Skills/Qualifications:
- NCCPA certification and CT License required.
- Ideal candidate must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment where quality patient care is essential.
