Nuvance Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality medical care in collaboration with a physician. This role involves coordinating clinical and administrative activities to ensure the delivery of quality, cost-effective patient care within the Danbury Endocrinology Department.
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 1 year (Endocrinology experience preferred)
- Certifications: Board-certified NP or PA required
Compensation
- Salary Range: $50.48 – $72.11 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities
- Conducts patient examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments with a focus on customer-centered care.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic procedures, prescribing appropriate medical therapeutics.
- Determines the appropriateness of therapeutic treatment plans based on patient data.
- Collaborates with supervising physicians to maintain medical care standards and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Accurately documents patient symptoms, findings, assessments, and treatment plans in medical records.
- Educates patients and families about diagnoses, testing, expected outcomes, and prevention strategies.
- Reviews diagnostic results and evaluates treatment plans through follow-up visits and patient communication.
- Participates in quality improvement processes to support the practice’s mission.
- Follows departmental policies and risk management protocols.
- Maintains full compliance with all regulatory and institutional responsibilities.
