OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Medical Providers at Klarisana oversee the administration of ketamine and Spravato treatments to patients with mental health and chronic pain conditions. Our medical providers are licensed nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or psychiatric nurse practitioners. Each of our providers are enthusiastic to be a part of the growing field of psychedelic medicine. The Medical Provider position requires current licensure and ability to be credentialed with insurance companies. Providers must have excellent working knowledge of clinical medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical conditions. The medical provider will oversee clinical care and follow-up for patients, as well as occasional telehealth shifts to perform intake evaluations of new patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess current, valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner OR valid licensure as a Physician Assistant from the appropriate state board
- BLS required
- 5+ years experience preferred
- Valid Prescriptive Authority in the State of Colorado
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification preferred
DUTIES
- Provide innovative treatment for patients who have not found relief through traditional treatments
- Monitor patient medication, interactions, and effects of ketamine treatment while guiding patients through a psychedelic experience
- Work alongside the on duty medical care team
- Performs a comprehensive patient health assessment, including health history and physical exams
- Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention, specifically as it relates to ketamine treatment
- Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care; reassesses and modifies the plan as needed, including initiation of referrals and consultation with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate
- Maintains accurate, legible and confidential records, including clinical course and billing information
- Conducts in-person and video telehealth visits
- Assists with clinical workflow such as scheduling, room preparation/cleaning, medical supply inventory, EHR task completion, and returning patient phone calls
- Closely monitor patients throughout session and evaluate for discharge
- Review and stay up to date on Klarisana policy and procedure
- Additional duties as assigned
BENEFITS
Full time work is 3 shifts/week, and is often a blend of in clinic and telehealth.Part time works 2 shifts/week, and is often a blend of in clinic and telehealth.

Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
