Full Job Description

RMIM is looking to hire a Physician Assistant for a full time position at one of the Skilled Nursing Facilities that we cover in Longmont

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments of patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
  • Collect medical history, perform physical examinations, and assess patients’ functional status and rehabilitation needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Set rehabilitation goals and objectives in conjunction with patients and their families.
  • Prescribe, administer, and manage medications, including pain management and other necessary pharmaceutical interventions.
  • Monitor patients for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, and interactions.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, catheter management, IV therapy, and other relevant treatments.
  • Assist with procedures related to mobility and rehabilitation exercises.
  • Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and expected outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications and self-care to support recovery.
  • Regularly assess patients’ progress towards rehabilitation goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for each patient encounter.
  • Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.

Qualifications: Requires graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Active Colorado Physician Assistant licensure required. NCCPA certified. BLS license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $142,000.00 per year
