Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team in a private medical office setting. The ideal candidate will possess clinical experience in pain management and knowledge of spinal procedures. Adept in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks is preferred. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of complex medical cases.

Experience with trigger point, Botox injections and other in office injections is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and assisting over 10 providers.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and history taking
  • Review and utilize medical imaging, laboratory data collection, medical evaluations; perform musculoskeletal evaluations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
  • Administer injections and medications
  • Document patient encounters accurately within EMR systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Participate in clinical research trials and data collection efforts to advance evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate with 10 well established providers and participate with cutting edge services
  • Support telehealth initiatives by conducting virtual consultations when applicable

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with current licensure to practice in the state of Colorado
  • Experience in all areas of pain management and spinal injections
  • Performing in office procedures
  • Knowledge of medical coding systems including CPT codes for procedures and ICD/ICD-10 coding for diagnoses
  • Demonstrated experience with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks
  • Proven clinical experience in hospital medicine, emergency room settings, ICU or critical care units (Level I & II trauma center experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, IV infusions, airway management, and other invasive techniques
  • Knowledge of medical coding systems including CPT codes for procedures and ICD/ICD-10 coding for diagnoses
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment handling acute pain management and triage situations
  • Strong understanding of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation
  • Experience administering injections or performing physical examinations in private clinical office settings
  • Additional skills such as telehealth experience, and research involvement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
