Job Title: Physician Assistant

Location: Direct Primary Care Clinic, Fort Collins Colorado

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages under the supervision of a physician.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform minor procedures and assist with more complex procedures as directed by supervising physicians.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and EKGs.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatment modalities within scope of practice and in accordance with clinic protocols.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and documentation of patient encounters.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Colorado.
  • Previous experience working in primary care, urgent care, or a related setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting wellness.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Dedication to maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.
