Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant | RIA Neurovascular Employment Type: Full Time Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 100 radiologists. All with exceptional skill and expertise, most are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty for additional certification. We are dedicated to accurate and efficient patient diagnosis no matter their condition. Our interventional radiologists perform some of the most leading-edge treatments available today. We partner with primary care physicians and hospitals across Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Hawaii to provide a resource for both patients and physicians. APP Inpatient and Outpatient Responsibilities:
- Perform daily rounds and documentation on inpatients
- Consult on new patients. Gather data (history, labs, imaging results, physical exam) and complete dictation of consultation by the end of the same day as the consult was ordered. This includes all stroke alert consults.
- Communicate with referring providers regarding treatment plans and patient care management
- Write notes at time of assessment including H&Ps for elective procedures, to include pertinent findings (vitals, access site evaluation, lab results, other x-ray studies, plan)
- Review cases with NeuroInterventional Radiologists
- Maintain clinical rounding reports
- Assist with pre-admission testing for elective patients
- Educate all patients regarding possible procedure including risks, benefits and alternatives
- Manage medications pre and post procedure
- Respond to stroke alert pages and urgent/emergent patient care needs
- Enter discharge summary (if admitted under INR service) by end of same day and review discharge instructions with patients
- Ensure patient follow up plan is set up through RIA Neurovascular prior to discharge
- Communicate with neurovascular clinic staff to provide patient information, contact information, ongoing status and follow up information, procedure performed, etc. on INR patients requiring outpatient follow up
- Willing to travel to different hospitals or clinic locations as needed
- Assistance with INR research studies including enrollment of patients and gathering pertinent data and submitting in a timely fashion
- Assist in education of staff as applicable
- Regularly attend weekly Neurovascular conference, Stroke Council, and Grand Rounds as applicable
- Maintain credentialing and privileges at all covered hospitals
- Assist with outpatient APP clinic including seeing patients and entering notes in EHR
- Manage outpatient medications for patients as indicated
- Assist office staff with scheduling, referrals, and other administrative duties
- All job duties and procedures performed must be within the scope of practice for this position based on the terms of the professional license
- Must be able to provide documentation and demonstrate training and competence to provide specific services when required
- Maintain values congruent with the Code of Ethics as well as adhering to national, institutional and /or departmental standards, policies and procedures regarding the standards of care for patients.

Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a NP or PA; Radiology or Neurology experience preferred
- Experience with IVs and minor procedures
- Exceptional patient skills
- Prescriptive authority required
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute from hospitals and clinic. Requires a valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Company will run a motor vehicle record (MVR) annually.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program
- National certification as an Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- ACLS or ability to obtain
- MRS and NIHSS certifications or ability to obtain
Annualized salary is between $104,000 and $133,120 depending on qualifications.
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis, and will remain open until filled.
