Colorado Comprehensive Spine Institute (CCSI) is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to join a dynamic and robust clinical team dedicated to excellence in multidisciplinary spinal care. CCSI stands out amongst its peers and sets the bar for management of complex spinal conditions in the front range of Colorado and beyond. The right candidate will provide comprehensive care, support and education to patients and their families through all aspects of their spine care process. We are looking for someone who values a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to the patient/family’s care, serving as an integral team member for the clinical and surgical management of patients in the inpatient, operative, and outpatient settings.
This mid-level provider will split their time – 80% in the clinic, 20% in the hospital. 1-2 years of spine surgery/neurosurgical experience REQUIRED.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Conducts rounding on patients and supports physicians with patients in clinic. Performs clinical examinations as necessary for outpatients/inpatients. This includes seeing new patients, consults and established patients
● Is comfortable and willing to staff an independent clinic schedule.
● Orders and interprets test results.
● Functions as a resource person for individuals with questions regarding their diagnosis or treatment and coordinates the multidisciplinary plan of care.
● Writes orders, prescriptions and discharge summaries.
● Works in collaboration with other APPs and physicians using established and approved protocols as required by institutional policy.
● Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
● Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective delivery of patient care.
● Ability to function as surgical assist for Spine Surgery procedures preferred
Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
● Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
● Experience working in orthopedic spine surgery, or neurosurgery, 1-2 years.
● Proficiency in critical care / ICU management is highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
