MedNOW is looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in family medicine and/or urgent care for our Sheridan Clinic Urgent Care hours!

Full Job Description: this position is responsible for the quality and completeness of assigned medical services. The Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant must be knowledgeable in systems improvement and provide primary health care services consistent with the philosophy of MedNOW Clinics. This position is responsible for providing care for ambulatory patients through regular health assessments and the management of common acute and chronic stable conditions. The Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant obtains a health history and performs a physical assessment, identifies problems, and formulates plans that include treatment, health education and counseling. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant collaborates with other health care professionals in assessing and managing health care problems and maintaining continuity of care.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivery of compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based chronic pain management to all patients, regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity.
- Utilize the multimodal approach offered by our clinic, including rationale medication management, referral for mental health care, physical therapy, and interventions as indicated.
- Perform appropriate and timely work-up of patient symptoms to identify pain generators and formulate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation regarding all patient interactions, and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks with referring providers, and participating in professional societies.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Must be a board-certified Mid-level Provider.
- Must have a Colorado medical license and DEA.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have experience with family practice or internal medicine.
- Knowledge of routine care and chronic conditions.
- Collaborative team player and excited to work within a multidisciplinary framework.
- Must have the safety and well-being of each and every patient as the highest priority.
Provider is expected to have a full and unrestricted Colorado license and DEA certificate. They will work closely with our physician providers in a collaborative care model.

This position is for our Sheridan Blvd Clinic in Denver, CO. It is a Full-Time position with a schedule a flexible schedule of which requires extended hours and weekend shifts.
