As a Locum NP/PA, you will play a vital role in our staffing efforts, ensuring that healthcare facilities maintain high standards of patient care. This role is particularly suited for professionals looking to make a significant impact in emergency medicine while enjoying the flexibility of contract work.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients in the emergency department
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality care
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient encounters accurately in medical records
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
Requirements
- Valid NP or PA license in the state of Colorado
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field for NP; Master’s degree for PA
- Previous experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
Daily Volume: 30-45
Must be comfortable with pediatric patients ages 3 months+
EMR: Practice Velocity
Must be board-certified
