Seeking a physician assistant who is interested in working in a busy facial plastic surgery and ENT (ear, nose,throat) practice in Cherry Creek. The position will involve office-based patient care, with some hospital rounding and surgical assist duties. Candidates with experience in a surgical practice are encouraged to apply, but we are also willing to train a committed, energetic new graduate. We are looking for a highly professional PA who is proficient in communicating with doctors and co-workers and is able to establish a positive rapport with patients and their family members while providing exceptional patient care
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish a safe providing emotional and psychological support to patients, friends and compassionate environment by and families while providing exceptional patient care.
- Performs relevant patient assessments and physical examinations, and provides appropriate treatment.
- Coordinates, directs, and implements patient’s plan of care.
- Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Responsible for patient assessment and monitoring.
- Provide continual patient education and assist in the resolution of patient problems and needs.
- Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.
- Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome-based treatment plan.
- Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes. Enters chart documentation for review and counter signature by the physician.
- Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion
- Maintains continuity of care by accurate and thorough documentation and communication with all team members.
- Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient’s
- Responsible for exercising sound clinical judgement during telephone triage including prescription refill, returning phone calls, notifying providers of problems and concerns, triaging patient to higher level of care if necessary and appropriate and detailed documentation of interaction.
- Functions as an integral part of our team, constructively communicating any ideas or concerns and participating in problem solving.
- Perform daily tasks in an efficient and professional manner and assist co-workers and providers to complete clinic duties.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and procedures, medication administration and storage.
- Participate in “on-call” as determined by department needs
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager and physicians.
- Strict compliance with HIPPA and OSHA guidelines.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Active PA License
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with patients, staff and community.
- Computer skills: familiar with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office(Excel, Word, and Access).
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
