Summary:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Dermatology team! This position is benefiteligible working full-time40 hours per week (four 10-hour days). The day off is subject to change and there is no call. This position is locatedat our BMC Broadway location (2750 Broadway St Boulder, CO 80304) and may expand to our other clinics in Erie, Longmont and Louisville in the future.
This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus as well as a $10,000 retention bonus. The retention bonus will be paid out following 3 years of employment.

Job Summary:
- Scope of practice to focus on medical dermatology and possibly cosmetics pending interest and patient demand.
- Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history, physical exams, preventive screening, and identifies medical health risks and needs.
- Formulates the appropriate physical diagnosis based on clinical evaluation.
- Performs, orders, and/or interprets diagnostic studies within the scope of practice and clinical area of practice at the Boulder Medical Center, P.C.
- Documents all clinical information in the patient’s chart promptly and ensures that all charges are accurately submitted within 48 hours.
- Performs advanced technical procedures within the scope of clinical practice such as shave biopsies, punch biopsies, and laser procedures.
- Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include medical management strategies, including prescription of medications.? Includes obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority per State Board Medical Examiner regulations.
- Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with BMC physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.?
- Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home.
- Provides direction to the Medical Assistant assigned to support the PA in the clinic.
- Collaborates with supervising physicians during training and once seeing patients independently to ensure optimal care plan and assessments.
- Comfortable with seeing 25 patients per day after completing training and ramp up period.
- An onboarding schedule including educational materials will be provided. It is expected that the individual will complete all necessary educational material to facilitate training in Dermatology.
Experience and Skills:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant curriculum
- Active Colorado State License and DEA licensure
Experience:
- Two+ (2+) years of PA experience in practice
Location:
- Boulder, CO
Salary Range:
- $62-85/hour; depending on experience with additional 25% productivity bonus every 6 months.
