Advanced Practice Provider
Walk In Clinic (Convenient Care) – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – ER/Urgent Care Experience Preferred

Convenient Care is a walk in clinic to see acute needs for the Stride patient population.
Convenient Care is immediate care of minor illnesses and injuries. The clinic performs physical exams, provides some in clinic treatments and medications, minor procedures, patient education and assists with follow up.

Your role:
In order to ensure efficient, quality health care services, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide medical screenings to walk in patients to manage their medical needs.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides direct health care services to patients.
- Offers clinical consultation and arranges referrals to other providers and clinical staff.
- Ordering and follow up of labs and imaging.
- Prescribes medications to patients, including counseling patients regarding the proper use and contraindications of medications as well as detect and diagnose adverse drug reactions.
- Evaluates medical charts to determine appropriate patient care follow up and education regarding acute and chronic illnesses.
- Provider needs to be able to work in a fast paced and busy environment.
- Accurately and completely charts information regarding patient interactions into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Participate in the STRIDE after-hours telephone call system.
Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Attends all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned.
Work Schedule: 10-hour days with alternating Saturdays. Once fully staffed – every 3rd Saturday.
Location:
Peoria Convenient Care as primary, with some days a week working at STRIDE Wheat Ridge Convenient Care and Hampden & Chambers Convenient Care Clinics.

Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and/or Physician Assistant Program.
- Emergency Room or Urgent Care experience preferred
- Proficient with procedures such as sutures, splinting, wound care, I&D, etc.
- Family Practice Certification
- Board certification.
- BLS certification.
- CO License or eligible for licensure.
- Previous experience as a nurse practitioner/physician assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Two years post licensing preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply for future roles.

- Ability to protect the confidentiality of patient, employee and business information.
- Skill in using a variety of computer software including but not limited to the internet and MS Office Products.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with electronic health records (EHR) system.
Tools you’ll use: Clinical equipment such as: Nebulizer, Pulse Oximeter, and EKG. EKG, Computer, printer, multi-line telephone systems, fax machine, copy machine, Microsoft Office Outlook, the internet and EHR. General medical equipment used for patient care and procedures.
Working Environment and Physical Activities: High risk exposure to blood borne pathogens. Reliable personal transportation. Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Communicates information to others. Discerns/analyzes and synthesizes information from others to make decisions.
We offer a competitive salary/hourly range of $108,000–$130,000, depending on your experience.
This range reflects STRIDE’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.
