Healing To You provides comprehensive primary medical care and mental health services. We are hiring for positions in Wilmington, California. The Medical Provider is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (P.A.C.) who adheres to organizational policy while providing primary patient care to adult and pediatric patients on our mobile clinics. Reports to Medical Director and COO. The duties of the medical provider include recording past medical history, performing physical exams, administer diagnostic tests, and create patient care plans in a mobile healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Perform physical examinations and patient observations.
● Document patient medical history and symptoms.
● Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans.
● Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
● Monitor and operate medical equipment with the support of a medical assistant.
● Detect changes in patient health and modify treatment plans as needed.
● Diagnose health issues.
● Administer medication or other treatments.
● Consult and meet regularly with medical director.
● Consult with families.
● Understand the needs of the population served.
● Provide reproductive health care.
● Provide gender affirming treatment.
● Document and treatment of physical injuries.
● Conduct sexual assault forensic examinations for children and adults.
● Train patients and their families to manage and prevent injury and illness.
● Communicate and meet regularly with Medical Director and COO.
Qualifications:
– Master’s degree from accredited nursing program
– National Nurse Practitioner Certification / California Advanced Practice Certification
– RN License in the State of California
– Prescriptive authorization
– Primary care experience required; Mobile primary care clinic experience desired.
– Comprehensive knowledge of industry
– Analytical Skills: Synthesize complex or diverse information.
– Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully gather and analyze information.
– Delegation: Delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations, and monitor delegated activities
– Leadership: Inspire and motivate others to perform well and accept feedback from others
– Judgment: Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; and make timely decisions
– Planning and Organization: Prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and develop realistic action plans.
– Safety and Security: Observe safety and security procedures, and proper use of equipment and materials.
– Knowledge and experience in domestic violence, leadership and management, and fund development
– Strong organizational and communication skills
– Proficient in Google Suit, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records systems
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance
– Forty-hour Domestic Violence Certificate or willingness to earn certificate.
– Forty-hour Sexual Assault Certificate or willingness to earn certificate.
– If a survivor, at least two years out of the relationship.
This is a full-time position, 36 hours/4 days per week; mobile clinic staff work 3, 10-hour days on the mobile clinic and 6 hours of remote work at home or in office for supervision, meetings, and/or training.
Salary is $120K per year; FLSA status is exempt.
Benefits: 4 weeks paid time off per year – including the week of Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Years; health/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and life insurance.
