We are looking to add a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to our dynamic team. Job Description:

As a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care, manage chronic conditions, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and educate patients on maintaining overall health.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and provide management of medical conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Order, interpret, and follow-up on diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
  • Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and wellness practices.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Document patient history, progress notes, and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and support on managing health and wellness.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

PA/NP will seen an average of 15-20 patients a day, all patient appointments are set in advance.

We prefer the candidate to have at least one year of experience but open to new graduates. Experience in a family medicine/general practice.

Requirements

  • DEA license required
  • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in CA.
  • Previous experience in primary care or a similar healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport and trust with patients.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
