Muir Orthopaedic Specialists, OrthoNorCal and Webster Orthopedics have joined forces to become Golden State Orthopedics & Spine (GSOS). Now, GSOS represents one of the largest orthopedic surgical practices in the Western United States.
We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner to work with one of our Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeons. Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners at our practice work in a care team one on one with a surgeon.This role will predominantly involve hip and knee replacement and revision surgery, OrthoBiologicssuch as stem cell and PRP injections.
Job Duties Include:
The PA may perform delegated functions as appropriate to their scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the physician.
- Performing direct and indirect general orthopedic care.
- Performing admission evaluation of new patients, obtains medical history
- Performing physical exams and reporting into patients medical record
- Assisting in performing office based procedures
- For surgical PA positions, may serve as first assist to supervising physician
- May take call for patients under the supervision of a physician

Qualifications:
- Must have excellent verbal, written and computer skills
- Previous EMR experience, NextGen a plus
- Known to have strong interpersonal skills with patients and work colleagues
- Desire to expand medical knowledge and technical skills
- Disciplined and hard-working
Experience:
- 1 year experience preferred
- Previous EMR experience appreciated but not essential: Epic, Cerner and/or NextGen
- Strong basic medical knowledge
- We will teach you everything you need to know about orthopedic medicine
License/Certification:
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Medical Board of California and the Physician Assistant Examining Committee
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner with Surgical First Assist
- Current DEA license
- BLS certification
Pay Range:
- $120,000 to $135,000 per Year, plus productivity bonusing quarterly
- Higher compensation may be available for someone with advanced skills and/or experience
