Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various gastroenterology specialty. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as practice fusion . The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in clinical assessments, treatment planning, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and best practices in infection control and aseptic techniques.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history intake
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data collection, and clinical research methods
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems like Epic or Cerner while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards
- Assist in discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and home care instructions
- Provide specialized care in areas such as gastroenterology
- Participate in clinical trials or research projects to advance medical knowledge and patient outcomes
- Support triage processes in emergency room or urgent care settings for timely patient evaluation
- Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, medication adherence, and disease prevention
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Practice Fusion for data management and medical records documentation
- Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Excellent patient assessment skills including vital signs monitoring and physical examinations across diverse populations.
- Critical thinking skills for diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning.

Pay: $112,449.48 – $135,423.03 per year
