Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic illnesses. This role requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret laboratory results.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, as necessary.
- Provide education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care across various settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in family medicine.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or Officeally is preferred.
- Clinical experience in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and performing physical examinations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding, and documentation practices is essential.
- Experience in specialized areas such as hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, or infectious disease care will be advantageous.
- Background in critical care settings (ICU or Level I/II trauma centers) is a plus.
