Full Job Description
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: supervision of ancillary personnel; conducting medical examinations; assessments of the workplace; consultation on medical issues; diagnosis and treatment of injuries; written reports/evaluations; weekly meetings with the management; evaluating potential exposure incidents; supporting health and wellness programs; tracking trends and epidemiology using a database system.
The Clinician shall have and maintain a current medical license in good standing with the State of California and have a minimum of 3 years work experience in occupational medicine. The Clinician shall demonstrate autonomy in a clinical setting to evaluate, diagnose, and treat work related injuries/illnesses, minor non-work related medical conditions, evaluate potential exposure incidents, and provide medical advice. The Clinician shall also possess a working knowledge of federal OSHA Code of Federal Regulations. The Clinician should have experience and knowledge working with the Federal Worker’s Compensation system, assisting with health and wellness programs for the workplace, and tracking trends and epidemiology using relational database systems. The Clinician should possess knowledge of medical requirements/standards governing DoD worldwide deployment criteria, have the ability to assess Government personnel for deployment in accordance with DoD standards of fitness, and work with the Theater Surgeon to evaluate medical suitability of the individual. The Clinician shall maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Healthcare Providers
