OverviewWe are seeking a Physician Assistant with experience in Pediatrics to join our healthcare team at our pediatric urgent care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents along with 18-21 year old patients. This role requires a strong commitment to the health and well-being of young patients, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families. Our facility is equipped with advanced medical technology and offers a supportive environment for professional growth. Our average census is 7-8 patients/day.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of childhood illnesses and conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide education to parents and guardians regarding health, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Engage in triage processes to prioritize patient care effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in pediatrics, including medical-surgical techniques and home care practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology related to pediatric health.
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dermal fillers and radiation therapy is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in conducting clinical trials and research initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient documentation.
